Lube Logic Chain Lubricating Oil

Choosing the correct lubricating oil for your environment is integral to the success of your manufacturing process. Getting your oil right has significant benefits, from ensuring the lifespan of your chain to improving chain performance, and increasing efficiency. So when it comes to your chain lubricating systems, the details matter.

Many manufacturing processes require low temperatures, which makes the process of lubricating more difficult. Meat and poultry processing as well as beverage bottling, require conveyors operating in temperatures between 50Ā° and 180Ā°. Grain handling, pharmaceutical production, and warehousing all work within that temperature range as well. At lower temperatures, lubricants become more viscous, and their ability to penetrate the small spaces in chain components, such as between pins, bushings, and rollers, decreases.Ā

On the other end of the spectrum, industries whose processes require high temperatures also face challenges in designing a chain lubricating system. Baking, glass manufacturing, and paint and curing industries typically operate in excessive heat, creating low viscosity conditions that can break down, drip, splatter, and evaporate. So choosing an oil designed specifically for your unique manufacturing process is paramount.

Regardless of the type of industry or the temperature required for the system, GP Reeves offers chain lubricants to keep your systems running smoothly without interruptions.Ā

Features and Benefits

      • Reduced Friction and Wear: Our Lube LogicĀ® oil reduces the friction between internal chain components, leading to less wear. A well-lubricated chain will have a longer lifespan compared to a dry one.Ā
      • Rust and Corrosion Prevention: Moisture and environmental factors can lead to the formation of rust and corrosion on a chain. A suitable GP Reeves Lube Logic lubricant can form a protective barrier, shielding the chain from these harmful elements.Ā
      • Temperature Reduction: Friction generates heat, and a dry chain can become hot during operation. Lube Logic oils helps in reducing the operating temperature of the chain.Ā
      • Improved Power Transfer: Lube Logic oils reduce resistance, which means that more of the power from the drive system is transferred to the chain, leading to efficient performance.Ā

Configuration Options

      • Lubricants are suited for low-temperature applications (50Ā° – 180Ā°), average temperature applications (up to 400Ā°) and hot temperature applications (excess of 500Ā°).Ā
      • Viscosities ranging from 55-68Ā
      • Sizes include 1-gallon, 5-gallon, 15-gallon, 30gallon, and 55gallon drumsĀ

Lubricating Oil Selection Guide

Lubrication needs can vary based on the specific design of the conveyor chain system and the environment in which it operates. Always consult with a GP Reeves lubrication specialist when in doubt.

LL1000 Lube LogicĀ  Lubricating Oil

The Lube Logic LL1000 Chain Lubricantā€™s stable viscosity index (ISO 68) ensures it will retain its viscosity over a broader temperature range between 50Ā° – 180Ā°, providing consistent lubrication even under changing conditions. This lubricant contains a non-drip tackiness additive and is silicone-free, reducing residue build-up and the risk of chain slippage.Ā

Available sizes include 1-gallon, 5-gallon, and 55-gallon drum.Ā

LL2000 Lube Logic Lubricating OilĀ

The Lube Logic LL2000 Chain Lubricant is 100% synthetic and has a viscosity of ISO 68, but it is engineered for temperatures up to 400Ā°.Ā  It is often used with paint finishing systems, E-coat systems, and powder coat systems.Ā

Available sizes include 1-gallon, 5-gallon, and 55-gallon drum.Ā  Ā

LL3000 Lube Logic Lubricating OilĀ

A lubricating oil that is engineered for temperatures more than 500Ā°, the LL3000 has excellent anti-wear performance and high temperature oxidation stability. It is non-sludging, has an ashless additive system and is silicone-free. The viscosity is ISO 68.Ā Ā Ā

Available sizes include 1-gallon, 5-gallon, and 55-gallon drum.Ā

LL4000 Lube Logic Chain LubricatorĀ

The LL4000 high temperature chain lubricant has a viscosity of 55 SUS with a flash point of 235Ā°. This lubricant is based on a light viscosity carrier solvent and contains a significant amount of a fully compounded synthetic, high temperature chain lubricant, fortified with molybdenum disulfide.Ā

Available sizes include 1-gallon, 5-gallon, and 55-gallon drum.Ā
