Dispenser Failing to Dispense
One common issue is incorrect air pressure. Verify that your air pressure is set between 60 and 100 psi. Another possibility is that your material supply isn’t connected. To fix this, ensure everything is properly connected and turned on.
If the metering pin isn’t returning to its natural position, the issue could be a damaged metering pin, a damaged seal, or another internal problem. First, inspect the metering pin and surrounding seals for visible damage. If nothing looks obviously damaged, depressurize the system before disconnecting fittings or hardware. Then disassemble the components, inspect them, and replace any damaged parts using a repair kit.
Dispenser Oozing Material
This issue could indicate that your material supply pressure is too high. Grease supply pressure should not exceed 200 psi, and oil should not exceed 50 psi. Adjust the supply pressure or install a pressure regulator to maintain proper pressure levels.
Additionally, inspect the outlet check seal and internal seals for damage. To do this, depressurize the system before disconnecting components. Disassemble and inspect the seals, and replace any damaged parts using a repair kit.
Another potential cause is a disconnected or depleted material supply. Ensure the material supply is connected, turned on, and adequately filled.
Fluid Leaking from the Dispenser
If fluid is leaking, inspect the metering pin and metering pin seal for visible damage. Replace any damaged components using a repair kit. If you suspect a broken internal seal, depressurize the system, disassemble the dispenser, and inspect the seals for damage. Replace any faulty parts with a repair kit.
