Adjustable grease flow sensor

The G.P. Reeves FS Flow Sensors are designed to detect the movement of lubricant and thus verify delivery of lubricant in a dispensing system. Models are available to detect the flow of medium to heavy oils and for NLGI #0 to #3 grease. When properly applied, these sensors will not resond to air flowing at a similar velocity to the lubricant. This ability to "detect" air in the lines can dramtically increase the reliabilty of any dispensing system. Mounting a flow sensor as near as possible to the dispense point, verifies operation of all of the other equpment in the system, and verifies movement of lubricant to the dispense point.

G.P. Reeves Flow Sensors are manufactured under US patent number 4,858,645. The sensing element consists of a sealed electronic inductive proximity circuit, non-magnetic steel ball, and a precision-machined nylon seat for high speed, accurate, reliable operation.

Compact Design

About 7" long, 2" high, and 1 ¼" wide, and can be installed on a base that is only ¾" high. Single sensors mount on bases similar to photo. Multiple sensors can be installed on multi-station bases on 1 ¾" centers.


Adjustable Models

Adjustable models allow the sensor to be matched to the viscosity of a wide range of lubricating media. By adjusting the pressure on an internal bias spring, the sensor is set up to respond to the velocity of the dispensing system, and for quick reset time. A tamper-resistant cover for the adjusting screw is provided.

Fixed Models

Non-adjustable or "fixed" flow sensors are designed for use with heavy oil or light (NLGI #1 or lighter) grease only.
