GREASE RESERVOIR/REGULATORS

These grease reservoir/regulators are engineered for use with NLGI 000 through 2 grease, equipped with relief valves, air pressure regulators with gauges, and are capable of handling up to 3000 psi primary grease pressure and regulating it to provide 1000 psi or less secondary grease pressure. Auto-fill reservoir/regulators include an air pilot operated fill valve.

FIFO is First In First Out. FIFO eliminates grease storage time in the reservoir and reduces separation of the grease. FIFO assures that the oldest grease is the first grease to exit from the reservoir.

USER’S 3-WAY NC PNEUMATIC SOLENOID VALVE
Supplies pressure for the air piston(s) to cause the grease pressure.
Formula: air pressure x boost ratio = grease pressure
De-energize solenoid valve for zero grease pressure

MOUNTING POSITION
Reservoir / regulators are normally installed in the position shown but they can operate in any position. Movement of the piston should be visible when unit is being filled.

SENSOR LOCATION(S)
Sensors are adjustable and interchangeable and are actuated by the magnet on the visible grease piston. Sensors output to a PLC.

RESERVOIR SELECTION GUIDE:
  • Manual fill reservoirs require a temporary connection to a fill source or pump. Often times one portable pump can be used to fill many reservoirs.
  • Automatic Fill reservoirs require PLC control and a direct connection to a supply source or pump.
  • FIFO reservoirs are best for material that separates quickly under pressure.
  • Carefully select the reservoir size based on grease usage.
  • Carefully select boost ratio based on the viscosity of your grease to assure adequate pressure and flow.

FIFO Grease Reservoir / Regulators with automatic fill includes two adjustable 24 VDC PNP or NPN magnetic field sensors (Grease IN and OUT ports are 1/4 NPT. Air ports are 1/4 NPT. Air pilot ports are 1/8 NPT).
